"hand-drawn" MAD
There are lots of " tegaki = hand-drawn" MAD animes in Nico Nico Douga.
Parody of Ghibli animes.
BTW, this creator was writing pictures upon requests at 2 channel, the biggest BBS in Japan.
This might be a bit difficult to understand if you don't read Japanese...

PTAM
I have introduced in this post about how Nico Nico users played around with AR toolkit and made Miku Dance. In those videos, Miku was on the table / indoors, and the location was not tracked.
PTAM(Parallel tracking and mapping) is a technology to connect AR (using hand-held camera) and simultaneous / visual localisation and mapping.
Georg Klein, a post-doctoral research assistant at Oxford (and David Murray) had been doing research on this.
Here you can see his website where he puts all the info including his presentation file at ISMAR 2007, source code, and videos.
NicoNicoDouga user saw this, and created a virtual Miku that walks on the public road :P

The most corny MMD in the world
Promotion Video of "I Want To Love You Tender" by Armi Ja Dannyｍ was said to be the most corny PV in the world by a nicochu.

Trace
"Tracing" or "copying" someone else's copyrighted work is of course a bad thing to do, but to what extent are things similar by nature and what are really traces?
There are many incidents that questions are raised recently- about comics being so similar, music being so similar, and novels being so similar.
This video includes many "trace suspicions" which includes some obviously "Traced" comics to some pictures that just happened to be similar.
This video takes the contents from the above, and creates a video to show the differences

NicoNicoDouga's popular contents
Hatsune Miku, Idol M@ster and Touhou (which I intend to introduce here soon...) is said to be the 3 most popular contents in Nico Nico Douga.
However, someone questioned in an anonymous web diary whether it is really true... as it seemed to him/her that Touhou and Miku are attracting users but Imas was not.
A blogger called myrmecoleon went on to investigate the actual data to check this out.
This is his post, where he created several charts to investigate which "tags" were really popular based on how many times the videos with those tags were viewed. He says if you delete the category tags (like music, sports etc) the 3 most popular tags are indeed Touhou, Miku and IdolM@ster.
Following is the translation of one of the charts that myrmecoleon created... and this one includes some of the categories. I think this gives you a general idea of what type of videos are actually popular in Nico Nico Douga, as the videos that I am introducinig is biased by "my taste" :P
IKZO
Ikuzo Yoshi(IKZO) is a 56 years old professional enka (traditional) singer.
Nicochus started to remix one of Ikzo's old songs (and is about a farmer) to various modern songs.
The huge gap between this old / rural IKZO songs and modern / urban music created an interesting harmony...

IKZO remixes are also called "NOCALOID", "No" means farming, and CALOID comes from VOCALOID.
Many people started creating NOCALOID videos, and someone even created IKZO button.
If you go to this link, and push the button, you will get the common phrase that are used in most of those videos and if you play it with another music, you can create a remix music.
Usually those activities gets banned as they are illegal, but IKZO is going to collaborate with Nico Nico Douga...!
When I went to an event organized by Dwango called Nico Nico Daikaigi, I saw IKZO gave Dwango flowers as presents- we thought he wasn't feeling bad about this phoenomenon... and he wasn't!
