Hatsune Miku-that I had been writing a LOT about was the 1st of the Vocaloid Character series,

and the 2nd one is the twins -Kagamine Rin and Ren.

"Roshin Yukai" is an original song created for Kagamine Rin,

I think this type of music would have been rare if you only had "human" singers...

Be MYSELF

Megumi Nakajima, who is a voice actress as well as a singer posted a video of herself dancing to one of her songs and invited NicoNicoDouga users to post videos of them dancing to this song, and that some of them will be invited to a christmas event she is going to be performing at.

NicoNicoChannels

Recently NicoNicoDouga launched a service called "NicoNicoChannel".

Here you can see all the "official channels" categorized under "politics" - which even the prime minister of Japan has his channel and the opposition parties such as Ichiro Ozawa of DPJ and Kazuo Shii of the Socialist party has their channels. "public organizations, companies and brands" has a police channel where they have education videos of crimes and  Toshiba channel and Comesta channel. They have "education" channels, "TV/Media/weather" channels, "music" channels, "movie" channels, "game" "anime" "comedy and sports""artists and celebrities" etc.

Until NicoNicoChannel launched, all of the videos were free to watch in NicoNicoDouga, but some of the NicoNicoChannel charges you some fee to watch their video. Other channels are free.

For example, if you try to watch an anime called "Candy Boy", they require you to "join" the channel and pay 315yen(around 3$)/month or 945yen for 90days usage.

Within "variety" category, there was this channel called "NicoNicoMesse". NicoNicoMesse is an instant messenger based on MSN messenger which you can chat with your friends while watching NicoNicoDouga videos.

It looks like Microsoft made this promotion video of NicoNicoMesse using MikuMikuDance :)

LEGO

There's a bunch of people who plays with LEGO and uploads their videos to NicoNicoDouga,

but this one is amazing. 

The creator says it is a tribute for the 30th anniversary of LEGO dolls and took more than 100 hours to shoot this (10days).

He says he will start making more LEGO stop motion animes over the next 6 months...

Here's another amazing one - 6.6m battleship "Yamato" using over 150,000 parts,

started creation back in winter, 2002 and planning to finish by spring of 2009. 

And he's working on this all by himself...

I had been introducing lots of MikuMikuDance 3DPVs,

but there are people who still makes Miku 3DPVs using 3D applications.

This is a creation of one of such artists who spent 2-3 hours per day for the last 1 YEAR

to create this video. Quite amazing...
