One interesting thing about niconico douga is that people uploads the process as well as the outputs of their creation.
This is a series of videos uploaded by a game creator.
The first video we saw was this: Week 1 -Creating the avatar-
...and it got developed to something like this video!
Following is some of the videos that were uploaded in the process.
There are 45 videos, you can see the whole list here:
Week 4 chat function, network function, asking the viewers to give ideas on a character.
Week 5 Stats (Basic level, Skill level, HP, SP etc) and motion created
Week 7 Has sounds and BGM, weapons, team functions, battle function (so you can actually fight)
Week 9 Using global IP address, field battle, etc
Week 11 battles getting more realistic
Quests, shop, maps etc are created during these weeks
You can select parameters for your avatar, battle functions are much more smoother than before.
Minimap, etc

Hi Yukii,
I'm not an expert in Doujin game so not sure, but you might want to check the Doujin game forum
http://akiba-online.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=84
This site seems to be a doujin game creation engine where people can upload materials such as pictures, scenarios, music etc but everything is in Japanese...http://www.doujingame.jp/
